Gabriella Axelrad Education Foundation (GAEF) takes privacy and data protection issues seriously. We have designed this Privacy Policy to explain how we handle personally identifiable information collected for the purpose of site statistics and processing online contributions.

This Privacy Policy covers GAEF's treatment of personally identifiable information collected from contributors who use GAEF's online giving credit card transaction process. GAEF shares the minimum required information with our online credit card authorization provider and the provider of our credit card merchant account for the purpose of ensuring that your credit card information is correct and to process your secure, encrypted transaction. 

  

  

GAEF collects personally identifiable information when you process an online contribution using our online giving credit card transaction page.

  

We ask for your contact information (such as your name, street address and email address), as well as certain information pertaining to you or your business, along with credit card number and other credit card information necessary to complete

the transaction.  However, after completing the transaction, our online system retains only the last four digits of your credit card number for the purpose of verifying your identity should we need to discuss your contribution or should you request information regarding the credit card you used.

  

In the course of processing a contribution transaction, we typically receive a transaction number and verification of the information you provide that relates to authorizing the charge to your credit card.

  

Personally identifiable information is used to process payment transactions, for contact information to acknowledge contributions, for tax purposes and to add to our donor database in relation to our future solicitations, but for no other purposes.  Except as required by law, we do not share our donor database with any other organizations.    

  

  

Information security is critical to our business.  We work to protect the security of your personally identifiable information during transmission by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology encryption.  To learn more about SSL, go to: http://webopedia.internet.com/TERM/S/SSL.html. The number of employees involved in the management of the data center that have access to this data is limited. We employ security technologies to prevent our computers from being accessed by unauthorized persons.

  

It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your data and to your computer. Be sure to close your browser window after successful completion of online activity.  Follow any additional security precautions that have been recommended regarding your computer configuration.

 

GAEF is located in the United States. Any information that you provide from outside the United States will be transferred to the United States. By providing personal information to us, you are consenting to its storage and use as described herein. 

  

  

GAEF reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason.  If there are material changes to this statement or in how GAEF will use personally identifiable information, GAEF will post these changes on this page.
