Liz Martinez: Modern dance student Liz Martinez
auditioned and was accepted into the 2007 American
Dance Festival at Duke University where she received
six weeks of modern dance training (the Foundation
provided Liz with a scholarship to cover program
costs).
Tian Tan: Ballet student Tian Tan was a semi−finalist
in the 2008 Los Angeles County Music Center
Spotlight Awards and received a scholarship for the
Miami City Ballet summer program.
Nicholas Doede: Ballet student Nicholas Doede
competed in the prestigious Prix de Lausanne
competition in February, 2008 and received a
two−year scholarship to attend the Hamburg Ballet
School in Germany.
Alice Kim, Yasmin Torres, Ines Hernandez and
Taylor Beveridge were accepted to the Los Angeles
County High School for the Arts.
Rai Garcia:Ballet student Rai Garcia received a
scholarship to the Boston Ballet’s 2008 summer
program.
Luis Del Cid: Ballet student Luis
Del Cid received
sponsorship to attend the 2008 Kirov Academy
Summer Program in Washington DC.
Alumni Ashleigh Doede: Alumni Ashleigh
Doede has
been working as an apprentice with the Milwaukee
Ballet for the past year and was just offered another
year with the company as an apprentice.
Alumni Norbert de la Cruz III: Alumni Norbert de
la
Cruz III, who won first place in the non−classical
dance category of the 2006 Los Angeles County
Music Center Spotlight Awards; won first place in the
dance category of the Emerging Young Artists
Awards; and was awarded a full scholarship to attend
the San Francisco Ballet’s summer session; is
currently attending Juilliard on scholarship.
