everybody dance! provides classes in ballet,
jazz, tap,
hip−hop, creative movement, ballroom and modern dance
to under–served Los Angeles children. everybody
dance! intentionally offers an intensive and demanding
program on the theory that children respond best when
challenged to do their best.
The program has grown from 35 students and 12 weekly
classes to over 1000 students in more than 150 weekly
classes. Many dancers attend class two to five times
weekly. To enhance their dance education, students
regularly attend professional ballet, tap and jazz
performances in order to learn first–hand what they are
capable of attaining with discipline, determination and
hard work.
